Wayang Golek Cultural Communication

Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Wayang Golek Cultural Communication by Mengyao GUO Wayang Golek is a graphic poster series based on the traditional Indonesian puppet theatre of the same name. The series presents the puppets through bold colours, intricate patterns and strong typography drawn from Indonesian art. The illustrations were created as vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator, using colour blocking for vibrant hues and detailed pattern work for the motifs. The digital format allows the artwork to be scaled and shared across screens without loss of quality. The aim is to renew interest in Wayang Golek among younger audiences.
