Architecture, Building and Structure Design Miscellaneous Woods Reception Center by Ya-Yuan Design, Shanghefa Development Miscellaneous Woods is a reception center completed in Taiwan. The one-story building covers 1,342.1 square meters on a base of 4,175.2 square meters. The exterior is made of natural materials, including cypress, paint and architectural concrete. Slender wooden elements form a large digital grille that recalls tree branches and a forest path. The long rectangular volume is visually dismantled, and the roof is opened to create layered transitions. Natural light enters the interior, which is kept simple with little decoration.
