Rhythmic Book Design

Print and Published Media Design Rhythmic Book Design by Yiwen Zhang Rhythmic is a book that studies the positive influence of punk culture on mental health. The design is based on the punk values of do it yourself, rebellion and self-expression, and it forms a coherent musical narrative through a clear visual language. Red, black and white are used as the main colours. Fonts and graphics are placed in a stable grid to suggest short formats and fast tempos. The book measures 210 by 140 millimetres and has 92 pages. Rhythmic is offered as an ebook and as a hardcover edition with butterfly-fold binding. A bright silver card highlights the central pages.
