Interior Space and Exhibition Design Floating Island Art Exhibition by Zong-Ying Chen Floating Island is an art exhibition held in a narrow venue of 190 square meters. Forty double covers, selected from 153 magazine issues, are printed on transparent acrylic panels and hung from a 9 metre installation placed at the centre. The installation divides the space into two unequal triangular areas and allows fan-shaped seating for lectures. Because the building is a historic site, aluminium truss columns carry the panels without touching the structure. The trusses are reusable, so waste is reduced. Selected furniture and lighting brands are also displayed.
