Outdoor Gear and Camping Equipment Design Escape Camping Kitchen System by Xun Peng Escape is a portable camping kitchen system designed for outdoor meal preparation. The design is based on observation of camping cooking behavior, which showed that handling and operation were often difficult. Escape stays compact in the folded state for easy transport and is unfolded for use at the camping site. Five functional modules are integrated: a storage area, a meal preparation area, a cooking area, a second storage area and a dining area. Ergonomics was considered throughout, and camping users tested the design to refine the layout.
