Landscape Planning and Garden Design Hong Kong Pavilion Exposition Garden by Architectural Services Department Hksar Hong Kong Pavilion is an exposition garden created for an international horticultural exposition in Chengdu, China. The site covers about 1,500 square meters. The pavilion structure is made of engineered bamboo, a low-carbon material sourced in Sichuan, and is shaped with traditional Hong Kong bamboo scaffolding techniques. The form recalls the ridges of Lion Rock, while a shallow pool and boat sculptures refer to Victoria Harbour. Themed planting areas, including butterfly, edible and wetland gardens, line the meandering pathways and reflect local habitats.
