Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design The New Fashion of Chinese Elements Poster by Yilin Wang New Fashion of Chinese Elements is a poster series based on traditional Chinese arts and crafts. The design extracts patterns from clothing, silk and ceramics, then deconstructs and transforms them into modern graphics. Traditional patterns carry auspicious meanings and express wishes for a better life. Digital design tools are used to redraw the motifs for contemporary viewers. Each poster measures 700 by 1000 millimetres. The aim is to keep cultural heritage visible and to bring traditional craft patterns into modern life.
