Tianmianshang Pavilion

Architecture, Building and Structure Design Tianmianshang Pavilion by jintao li Tianmianshang is a pavilion located in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province. The pavilion stands behind an orange grove and offers a calm place to rest in nature. The design questions the usual distinction between floor, roof and ceiling, and between inside and outside. Undulating floor and roof surfaces form several threshold spaces. Four main walls are joined by two irregularly placed concrete walls and concrete columns, which blur spatial boundaries and add layers to the interior. The roof is a single lightweight steel structure with clean lines.
