Architecture, Building and Structure Design Dissolving Corbin Building Mixed Use by Zihua Mo Dissolving Corbin Building is a mixed-use building design based on the adaptive reuse of the historic Corbin Building in Lower Manhattan, New York. The vertical complex rises about 55 metres over 15 floors and combines housing, communal kitchens, a public food court, a food market and vertical farming. A new steel frame carries prefabricated modular units with articulated brick and terracotta cladding. Rooftop gardens and a rooftop bar above the adjacent Fulton Center extend a public route that begins at the subway. Shared cooking and dining are treated as community spaces.
