Fusion House Residential

Ryoko Ogoshi

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Fusion House Residential by Ryoko Ogoshi Fusion House is a private residence in Japan designed for a multi generational family. The house stands on an inherited site shared with a Japanese garden, an existing kura and the parents house. A pine tree at the center of the garden guided the placement of the new building. A mixed structure of reinforced concrete and traditional timber construction provides stability and openness. Within the double-height living space, a feature wall of Japanese plaster and hand-crafted washi sliding doors shapes the interior. Daily living areas and guest areas remain separate yet connected.
