Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Between Force and Stillness Tennis Inspired Sculpture by Yuan Zhuang Between Force and Stillness is a public sculpture created for a national tennis center in Beijing, China. The work interprets a tennis form through 24 sphere shaped units arranged along a vertical axis, evoking natural rhythm and cyclical time. The composition draws on Daoist thought, in which movement and stillness are understood as mutually dependent. Mixed media are used, including fiberglass, marble, weather resistant automotive paint and lighting. Modular construction allows separate shipping and assembly on site.
