Interior Space and Exhibition Design Cornerstone Gallery by Yu-Ting Chen Cornerstone is an art gallery interior located in Taichung, Taiwan, with an area of 36 square meters. The main finish is a traditional clay plaster made of red clay, rice straw and glutinous rice, which helps regulate indoor humidity and temperature. A curved red clay wall guides visitors through the space. A circular aperture of 75 centimeters in diameter was cut into the floor slab above and fitted with a conical steel fixture to bring daylight deep into the interior. Patinated steel shelves are adjustable and removable for changing exhibitions.
