X-Space Window

Du Heli

Social Design X-Space Window by Du Heli X-Space is a fire escape window designed for residential rooms where the passageway may be blocked during a fire. The design is a redesign of the window frame with a rotational structure holder made of five parts that interact by mechanical principles. Turning the handle 180 degrees anticlockwise triggers the alarm and notifies firefighters. Opening the window then forms a space outside the wall. A fire resisting shutter hidden in the holder axis is pulled out to isolate fire and smoke while people wait for rescue.
