Street Furniture Design garden cube sculpture by Udo Hubert Dagenbach Stone Plant Sculpture is a minimal garden formed as a cube measuring 130 by 130 by 130 centimetres. One half is a block of Jurassic limestone, cut in a quarry in southern Germany. The visible stone surfaces are chiselled and brushed to give an aged look. The other half is made of four yew plants, pruned to the final size after planting. An almost diagonal line marks the joint between stone and plant. The design is a European interpretation of Japanese Zen gardens. The cube stands on a flat lawn and needs low maintenance.
