Hiyama Restaurant

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Hiyama Restaurant by Alvan Suen Hiyama is a Japanese restaurant interior designed around the ideas of nature, Zen and the traditional Japanese house. A bar near the entrance serves as a welcome area where guests can sit and wait with drinks. A bamboo path with mist creates the feeling of an outdoor garden. The dining areas are treated as separate houses, seen through the bamboo. A pavilion stands at the end of the path, followed by a main hall placed between a wooden veranda and a balcony facing the harbor. Each room is built as an individual structure with beams and columns.
