Xiang Chinese Restaurant

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Xiang Chinese Restaurant by Mingtse Hung Xiang is a Chinese restaurant interior created inside an old house in the center of Tainan, Taiwan. The design is inspired by the salon, a historic form of gathering where guests meet, talk and relax. The original structure is preserved and joined with a new diagonally cut building form. Chinese red brick, Morandi green walls and sand gold custom iron pieces respond to the Hunan dishes served. Clear water mold and straight grain acrylic add a modern tone. A large floor-to-ceiling window shows the warm dining atmosphere to passers-by.
