Marugo Restaurant

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Marugo Restaurant by Futoshi Masuda Marugo Shinbashi is a wine bar and restaurant interior located on a busy street in Shinbashi, Tokyo. The circle of the Marugo brand sign is repeated through the interior to improve visibility and recall. A wine red tiled wall and a buttoned bench carry the circular motif, while colored copper plates of Takaoka copperware cover a full wall. Cube brick tile and mahogany wood complete the material palette. Indirect lighting was adjusted with a full-size mockup so that light reads clearly from each circle. The space covers 105 square meters.
