Hera Sailing Yacht

Nicola Mondini

Yacht and Marine Vessels Design Hera Sailing Yacht by Nicola Mondini Hera is a concept sailing yacht inspired by the J-Class racing sailboats built in the 1930s. The design is defined by two intersecting volumes. A deck volume flows over the hull from the bow towards the steering position, where the deck wraps around the hull and forms integrated rudders. The hull has controlled surfaces inspired by automotive design, with highlights running along the sides. The intersection of the two volumes creates the daylight openings and holds the supports for the steering wheels. Hera measures 48 metres in length and is built in lightweight carbon composite.
