U Cube Landscape Renovation

Landscape Planning and Garden Design U Cube Landscape Renovation by Shanghai Lacime Design Co. Ltd. U Cube is a landscape renovation of a small scale street in Shanghai, China, completed in 2018. The design follows a philosophy of removing complexity and keeping simplicity. Minimal elements, futuristic materials and refined details turn the street into a practical office landscape. The original lane was narrow and dark, so the layout was based on the principle of stretching space. A fine doorplate and an iconic entrance divide the office area from the residential area. Vehicle access is controlled to provide a quiet and independent working environment.
