Architecture, Building and Structure Design Rouzan Residential Building by Seyed Hamed Jafari Rouzan is a residential building in Isfahan, Iran. The design brings together a traditional Iranian house and a modern apartment. The facade is made of bricks produced from local materials, aligned vertically with concave sections and sharp angles. Semi-transparent bricks and wooden canopies with decorative niches and cavities recall traditional Iranian homes. The rooftop holds a water fountain, a garden and a barbecue area. Electrical rotating canopy windows are controlled remotely, expanding to admit more sunlight in winter and contracting to limit heat in summer.
