Where The Root Is Office

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Where The Root Is Office by Carlie Ling - K.D Hsu Where The Root Is is an office interior located in a historic building in central Shanghai. The root of a tree serves as the core design concept. Dark walnut timber lines cross the flat ceiling to suggest interwoven roots. Patterned timber flooring and wooden grille screens mark circulation and use, while the open screens allow light and air to pass through. A tea reception area greets guests and professional partners. Grey carpet and wool wall covering give the working area a calm tone, and the supervisor office is separated to ensure privacy.
