The Next 40 Years Office

Interior Space and Exhibition Design The Next 40 Years Office by Szu-Hsin Cheng The Next 40 Years is an office interior created inside a renovated building in Taichung, Taiwan. The design preserves the existing vegetation of the site and the original building frame. Materials are used efficiently to reduce waste. Granite from the site was recycled for the outdoor pavement, and recycled tiles form a stair platform. Local Taiwan incense cedar was applied as indoor decoration. Old enclosing walls were removed and replaced with grilles, opening the courtyard and the layered planting to the neighborhood.
