Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Light Weaving Installation Art by CHIH LIANG LIU Light Weaving is an outdoor lighting installation shaped as a Christmas tree. The structure is made of laser cut stainless steel pipes forming 80 triangle units joined by more than 240 welded points. Acrylic yarn is woven by hand over the metal frame, following the weaving techniques of the indigenous people of Taiwan. Computer controlled LED lights and a light sensor adjust the colors to a timing system and to natural light, and the tone stays blue at midnight. The design brings delicate woven craft outdoors for public viewing.
