Interior Space and Exhibition Design The Sea Refuses No River Restaurant by Alex Jiang The Sea Refuses No River is a Teppanyaki restaurant interior located in the central area of Shanghai. The interior area is 478 square meters and the landscape area is 800 square meters. The design joins modern lines with traditional Chinese wood structure, recalling the iron window frames of Shikumen houses. Materials include copper imitating stainless steel, Hainan volcanic rock, oak wood veneer, gray marble and soft fabrics. A handmade wall carpet lines the aisle. Curved walls and a stepped ceiling suggest the movement of waves.
