Madame Butterfly Posters

Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Madame Butterfly Posters by Liudmila Shurygina Madame Butterfly is a series of opera posters. Each poster shows an iconic portrait of a singing woman as the central figure of the opera plot and a symbol of passion. The series covers operas such as Madame Butterfly, Tosca and Norma, and reflects the tragic and dependent role of women in their librettos. Every composition presents the final scene, the culmination of the story. The design draws on minimal shapes, expressive painting and the Memphis style, with open colors and strong contrast. The posters are printed in A1 size on carton paper.
