Architecture, Building and Structure Design Heart By Tree Villa House by Summer Chang Hin Cheong Heart by Tree is a villa house located in Gunung Pulai, Malaysia. The villa is formed by four building blocks arranged around a central courtyard. Lawn and willow plants cover the bedroom roofs and improve heat insulation. Two tall ancestral trees were transplanted onto the site as a token of gratitude to the owner. Zinc and fiber form the chassis of the lawn roof, suited to the hot climate. Ceramic tiles, granite and glass discarded by factories were reused in the decoration. The layout follows the traditional courtyard house concept.
