Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Geometry and Bamboo Light Shadow Art Products by Bingran Shen Geometric Bamboo Weaving is an art installation that creates light and shadow effects. The work combines a modern geometric animal outline with Chinese traditional bamboo weaving, an intangible cultural heritage craft. Steel is cut to length and welded into a three-dimensional frame. Bamboo is cut, polished and split by hand, then woven into different patterns. The hollow geometric structure holds a light source that is switched on by hand, casting patterned light and shadow. The installation measures 900 by 560 by 2000 millimeters.
